Angie Ragle joined WGXA News in December, 2013, as a meteorologist and multimedia journalist.
Angie grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she discovered her passion for weather in the third grade during weekly weather lessons taught by a local meteorologist.
After high school, Angie moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she pursued her other passion, teaching. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.
Working as a fifth-grade teacher, one of the science units Angie taught was weather. It was by far her favorite subject to teach and she knew she had to return to college to fulfill a lifelong dream of being a meteorologist. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from her alma-mater, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
During college, Angie interned at WSOC-TV in Charlotte, where she learned to love the complicated weather situations the southeastern United States endures. She was one of the meteorologists presenting and maintaining continuous live coverage and storm-tracking during the June 13, 2013, severe weather outbreak.
Angie is a newlywed and enjoys being involved at church and traveling with her husband, Brad. Even if it is just a day trip to a new town or visiting a museum, Angie and Brad love to visit new places and learn about this fascinating world in which we live. You might also catch Angie on her bike and exploring Macon.
Angie is thrilled to be on the WGXA team, providing the most accurate and reliable weather coverage to central Georgia.
