Cristen Drummond


Cristen Drummond can be seen as a reporter on WGXA News at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on FOX24 and at 6, 7 and 11 p.m. on ABC16.

Cristen joined the WGXA News team in May of 2012.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. A soccer star at Marymount High School, Cristen was recruited by 38 Division I colleges and decided to attend the University of Nevada.

As a member of the Wolf Pack, Cristen received numerous accolades including Freshman of the Year, First Team All WAC, All Tournament team, ESPN Second Team Academic All-District, NSCAA All West Region Scholar Team-Honorable mention, and Nevada Scholar Athlete.

Cristen received a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, with a minor in theatre. She graduated cum laude, top scholar, and the top of her class at the Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism.

Cristen was a reporter and in-studio interviewer in the student run broadcast, Wolf Pack Week. She interned with CBS affiliate KTVN Channel 2 in Reno.

Since moving to Macon, Cristen has enjoyed the southern hospitality and country cooking, as well as country music.

When not covering a story, she enjoys working out, shopping on a budget, talking with family and friends, catching up on celebrity gossip, watching a few sports games, and exploring the Cherry Blossom Capital of the world.
