The Georgia High School Association hosted its 2014 Team Dual Wrestling Championships at the Macon Centreplex.
The tournament has been held in Macon since 2004.
A total of 72 high schools participate with more than one thousand individual wrestlers competing against others from across the state.
The tournament began early Thursday afternoon will conclude with the finals on Saturday at 5pm.
Denis Tallini says it's a great event for the family and a great way to learn more about wrestling.
"Well we like to see fans come out and support wrestling. Maybe those who've been wrestlers in the past, maybe who've had children that have wrestled. It's a great way to get back in touch with the sport and see some of the best wrestling the state has to offer." -- Denis Tallini, Wrestling Administrator, GA High Assc.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 each for Friday and Saturday.
An awards ceremony will follow the competition.
