ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta City Council is forming a task force to resolve issues leading to some city residents reaching dispatchers in DeKalb County when they call 911. WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/1dPZwVK ) reports some residents in eastern Atlanta have reported being placed on hold when they call 911 because they've reached dispatchers outside the city. Part of Atlanta is in DeKalb County, which is east of the city, but operators there are out of the City of Atlanta's jurisdiction. An East Lake resident told the station he recently called 911 to report a woman who was apparently under the influence and walking down the middle of a street and was placed on hold for minutes when he reached a DeKalb operator. The task force has 90 days to determine potential solutions. ___ Information from: WSB-TV, http://www.wsbtv.com/index.html
