Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested

Members of the US Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force received a Crime Stoppers tip that led to the arrest of 21 year old Davares Jerrelle Evans of Macon at an apartment in the 700 block of Tidewater Circle this afternoon.  Evans was wanted for the attempted murder of Sierra Scott of Macon that occurred in December of 2013.


It was reported that on December 3, 2013 Evans went to the 1200 block of West Granada Terrace which was the residence of Scott.  She was his girlfriend at the time of the incident. Evans shot Scott once in the hand after she told Evans she wanted to end the relationship with him and had asked him to leave her residence. Witnesses also identified Evans as the person that shot Scott.


Evans was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division for questioning. He is charged with 1 count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder (Felony), 1 count of Failure to Appear (Misdemeanor) and 1 count of Violation of Probation (Felony). He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where he is presently being held.
