MACON, Ga. (AP) - Bibb County sheriff's officials say a deputy accused of soliciting a teenage girl for sex has been fired.
Sheriff's officials said in a statement that 49-year-old deputy Kenneth Lee Brown is accused of soliciting a 14-year-old girl for sex at an apartment complex early Tuesday morning. Authorities say Brown is accused of groping the girl and pointing a gun at a 19-year-old man who tried helping her.
Sheriff's officials say Brown is charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes, child molestation, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and violating his oath.
Sheriff's spokesman Sean DeFoe says Brown is being held in the county jail on $61,250 in bond and associated fees.
It's unclear if Brown has an attorney.
