A Bibb County traffic stop Wednesday afternoon netted $46,000 in marijuana.

Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office stopped a Gray Acura near I-475 and Thomaston Road around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies stopped the car after receiving word that the passenger had the weed.

Investigators questioned 36-year-old Traknovoise Sherrod Simmons and found 10 pounds of marijuana in the car. As the investigation continued, investigators were able to seize another 13 pounds of marijuana and a gun in west Bibb County.
