Tuesday was the last day of the school year for Bibb County Schools students. Around 100 5th graders from Alexander II Magnet School participated in a "Move Up" ceremony Tuesday morning at Mercer's Willingham Hall. The ceremony officially transitions the kids from elementary school to middle school. Alexander II Lead Science Teacher Kristy Cummings says the kids will always have a home at her school. "They always come back to us, and visit with us, to let us know how they're doing, and once you've been a member of our school if it was just for fifth grade or your entire elementary career, you're always a part of Alexander II," Cummings said.
