Americans are not only shopping earlier but finding deals sooner as major retails compete in this year’s Black Friday Deals.
Major stores like Best Buy and Bass Pro Shops are offering pre-sales before the mayhem event.
“It gives them a little chance to get out early to find those few extra gifts they want to get before the Black Friday," Bass Pro Shops Apparel Sales Manager Debbie Knight said.
Good news for early birds who want to avoid the rush.
"I love it because you can avoid a lot of the traffic and a lot of the people that are out," shopper Angel Hinson said
Despite offering savings beforehand, door buster deals are still prevalent. The only exception, for the first time many major retailers like Best Buy are opening their doors on Thanksgiving.
"Millions of customers wanted us to open up on Thursday so they have more opportunity to shop on the better deals," Best Buy employee Joel Peed.
The National Retail Federation expects 140 million shoppers during the holiday weekend.
K-Mart will open its doors at 6 am Thursday to help customers get a jump start on Black Friday. Several retailers including Target, Macy's, and JC Penney won't open their stores until 8 pm. The Shoppes at River Crossing will be closed all day except for Belk and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Those two stores will open at 8 pm with the rest opening on Friday.
