Bomb Squad Denotates WW II Artillery Round Found By Homeowner

The Macon Police Department Bomb Squad denoates a World War II era 40mm artillery on Tuesday. Bibb County Deputies assisted in the small explosion. The military artillery shell was discovered by a homeowner inside of a shed. The incident happened at a Mogul Road home just after 6 p.m. Sunday. The homeowner told Bibb County Sheriff's Deputies that they had been cleaning out a shed on the property when they found the round. The bomb squad was able to remove the round without any incident.
