AVONDALE ESTATES, Ga. (AP) — Police in suburban Atlanta say they're searching for a man who burglarized a Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice building in mid-November.
Avondale Estates Police say a man jumped a fence and rammed a first floor window with a pallet on Nov. 21 before stealing a laptop and several flat-screen television monitors.
Thomas Gillis is working the case and told WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/JMu7Xq ) that the burglar trashed the first floor of the building and left through the front door.
Department of Juvenile Justice spokesman Jim Shuler says no sensitive information was stored on the laptop that was stolen.
Police say blood that was found on the scene will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for testing.
