Alzheimer's Disease is now the sixth leading cause of death in the United states. Every 68 seconds, someone develops symptoms of this terrible disease. WGXA is proud to be the presenting media sponsor of an upcoming event to benefit the central Georgia chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Dancing Stars of Central Georgia will take place May 4th at Macon's City Auditorium. This popular fundraiser will be comprised of 10 celebrity dancers paired with 10 professional dancers, all raising funds by gaining votes. The dancers then come together to compete in a one night gala dance competition. The inaugural event in 2012 was a quick sellout and raised over 200-thousand dollars.
