Central H.S. Student Charged with Knife on Campus

An 18-year-old Central High School student is in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on charges he brought a knife to school Tuesday.

Ronnie Thomas of 985 Plant St., Macon, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a campus police officer responded to a report of a person on campus with a weapon.

The officer located Thomas behind Central High School, and a search led to discovery of the knife.

Thomas was charged with a felony count carrying a weapon within school safety zones, school functions or school property as a non-license holder. His bond was set at $1,300.
