Representatives from Shanghai, China, will visit Central High School on Thursday
to review the school's International Baccalaureate (IB) Program as they consider a
potential international exchange partnership with the Bibb County School District and Wesleyan College.

Representatives will meet at the Welcome Center at 8:30 a.m. before moving to Central High School.

Members of the delegation will be joined by officials from Wesleyan College as they receive an overview
of the Bibb County School District and Central High's IB Program.

They will meet with Deputy Superintendent Edward Judie Jr. and Central High Principal Dr. Efrem Yarber. They also will hear from IB Program Director Chris Kirby.

Through the potential partnership, a limited number of students from China would be enrolled at
Central High School beginning with their freshman year.

The students, who would be hosted by American families during their stay, would continue through high school until graduation, at which point they would attend Wesleyan College to continue their education.
