Several runoff candidates were no-shows at the Bibb County Democrats Runoff Forum tonight.
Organizer John Swint says nine out of the ten runoff candidates RSVPed but only five showed up.
The forums sponsored by the democratic party came under fire during the general election because organizers charged candidates a fee. Swint says he didn't charge a fee this time, and he just wants everybody to go out and vote.
Swint says the democratic party made only 600 dollars from charging candidates.
"Get this thing put to bed, you know the 15th is right around the corner, and no matter how you feel, just vote that's the key, get out and vote, and vote your conscience." -- John Swint, Bibb County Democratic Party
The party lost out on more than 17 thousand dollars from qualifying fees because the local elections are non-partisan.
