As Warner Robins Mayor Randy Toms paced the floors of Uniting Gods Kingdom Family Life Church, he preached on the same racial unity Dr Martin Luther King did one day before our nation recognizes him.
"I don't believe by us working together we can change the world, however, if we start here the world can change," said Toms. Mayor Toms was the keynote speaker at Uniting Gods Kingdom Family Life church for their special "MLK racial unity day" service.
The majority black church led by Pastor Troy Wynn Sr welcomed Toms with open arms, the same way the church welcomes visitors of all colors. "Uniting Gods Kingdom Family Life Church is a multicultural, multiracial, interacial ministry,"said Pastor Wynn.
Mayor toms reinforced some of the same messages dr king spoke 50 years ago, "That's what he said, our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter." Members of the congregation were pleasantly surprised with Mayor Toms preaching ability. It was the largest audience Toms had ever preached in front of.
