BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) — Federal officials are reconfiguring a federal building in Brunswick to better secure a courthouse.

The General Services Administration plans to close a portion of the Frank M. Scarlett Federal Building, build an addition to better secure prisoner movement and erect new barriers.

GSA contracting officer Elizabeth Andrews said the measures must be taken to correct security deficiencies.

The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/1ci600r ) reports some parking spaces around the courthouse would also be eliminated.
