Bibb County deputies open fire at a Cadillac speeding towards them while responding to a burglary in progress call.

According to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office,  deputies responded to a burglary call on Napier Avenue around 2:30 a.m. on Friday.  Investigators say two armed men, wearing all black with white t-shirts around their heads, were reported near The End Rail business.

Deputies checking the area near Macon Street were forced to open fire, after the suspects driving a gold colored Cadillac attempted to run over the officers.

According to the release, deputies pursued the car until the suspects jumped out at Baily Avenue and Columbus Road and ran away.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the shooting incident.
