WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans say they have a winning issue for the 2014 congressional campaigns: President Barack Obama's assurances that if people like their health coverage, they wouldn't lose it because of his health care overhaul.

It turns out several million Americans have already received cancellation notices from insurers.

Republicans are collecting written statements and video clips showing dozens of House and Senate Democrats repeating Obama's assurances, stockpiling them for campaign commercials.

Conservative groups have already started airing TV ads attacking Democrats on the issue.

Democrats say plenty can change by November 2014. They say the law will be working well by then and the issue will help them.

Democrats also say they expect to focus their campaigns on the economy.
