Grain futures lower on the CBOT

CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures were lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for December delivery was 7 cents lower at 6.3925 a bushel; December corn was 7.25 cents lower at $4.6225 a bushel; December oats were unchanged at $3.28 a bushel; while November soybeans were 5.50 cents lower at 13.47 a bushel. Beef and pork prices were mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. October live cattle was .40 cent lower at $1.2560 a pound; October feeder cattle was .25 cent lower at $1.5900 a pound; October lean hogs were .78 higher at $.8990 a pound.
