After an eighty pound weight loss, Stan Bush is on a mission to stay healthy and keep his diabetes in check.

Stan Bush:  The feeling I got was the bigger I got, the smaller I felt. because I tried to hide in the corner.
Stan has been inspiring others to lose the weight and stay fit with diet, exercise and helping people stay connected through Middle Georgia Sparks.
Stan Bush:  I found out last year  that I had diabetes. I found out if I  lost weight and exercised, I could control my diabetes that way.
Middle Georgia Sparks is free to join and connects people across central georgia through spark people. Since his fitness journey began, stan's blood sugar has stabilized, and his blood pressure is down.
Middle Georgia Sparks, has groups for asthma, they have groups for overweight, cancer, I quit smoking there, there are 12 million people in spark people.
Wilbur Gildersleeve is also committed to good health and starts his day with an hour and a half workout.
Wilbur Gildersleeve: I let myself go. I  was 286 pounds, very jolly happy person. i was miserable inside because I couldn't stand all that weight. so one day i started walking and  I dropped one hundred pounds. and  I have kept it off six years.
Like Stan, Wilbur is also a diabetic and once at one point gave himself four insulin shots a day.
It is a whole lot better. 100 pounds off is a whole lot better. My clothes, I feel better about myself and for my height, i got a lot of snide remarks, but i feel good at this age.
