ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia Public Service Commission has scheduled a hearing next week on a proposed $280 million Georgia Power rate Increase. Commission spokesman Bill Edge says Georgia Power filed the request in June. It translates to $4.55 per month for residential customers who use 1,000 kilowatt-hours. EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) — A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information that helps East Point police arrest three people assaulted an 80-year-old man in an attempted carjacking.
