ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has been elected to a second term. Preliminary election results showed Reed winning another four year-term in yesterday's election. The mayor defeated three little-known challengers as he continues to raise his profile overseeing a key city in the South.
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Police in Savannah say seven women were arrested for prostitution and 13 men were charged with pandering following a two-day police operation in coastal Georgia. Officers from Savannah, Pooler, Garden City, Port Wentworth and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to address prostitution along a stretch of Interstate 95.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in a car crash that killed a former University of Georgia accountant. The Athens Banner-Herald reports Dominic Joseph Moceri III was found guilty of homicide in the death of Brenna Garrison, a mother of two.
