ATLANTA (AP) — Police say a 15-year-old teenager whom they initially thought may have been kidnapped is safe. Atlanta police initially said Saturday that investigators believed the disappearance of Arterious Sanders may have been the result of a kidnapping.

ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Power wants to earn more money off its investments in the electricity system, an issue that state regulators must soon decide. The Southern Co. subsidiary is now allowed to earn an 11.15 percent return on every dollar its shareholders invests in an electricity system serving nearly 2.4 million customers. It wants permission to raise its target level of return to 11.5 percent.

The annual food product contest is sponsored by the University of Georgia Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development. The university says it aims to help food entrepreneurs expand the markets for their products and gain publicity.

ATLANTA (AP) — An organization hosted a special Thanksgiving celebration in metro Atlanta for refugees. The International Rescue Committee in Atlanta sponsored the annual event, which is set for Saturday in Stone Mountain.
