Walker County authorities say Ronald Westbrook had walked about three miles in the sub-freezing temperatures before knocking on Joe Hendrix's door just before 4 a.m. Wednesday.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Savannah authorities confirm that three men died after two separate accidents in Chatham County early Thanksgiving morning.

SMYRNA, Ga. (AP) — A fire early Thanksgiving morning destroyed eight units in a suburban Atlanta apartment complex and displaced at least 32 people. Red Cross volunteers assisted the people after they lost their homes at Mission Galleria Apartments in Smyrna. No injuries were reported.
