ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) — Police in Atlanta's northern suburbs are searching for an armed man suspected of robbing an Alpharetta convenience store. The suspect escaped into a wooded area and was leading deputies on a foot chase in nearby Forsyth County early yesterday morning.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Prosecutors have decided not to pursue charges against one of the remaining defendants in the hazing death of a FAMU drum major. The attorney for ex-band member Henry Nesbitt, told The Associated Press yesterday that the prosecutor is dismissing manslaughter and felony hazing charges against Nesbitt in Robert Champion's November 2011 death. Nesbitt called 911 after Champion collapsed.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police say they made nine arrests during the first night of the 2014 St. Patrick's Day Festival in Savannah. Police said yesterday that five of the arrests from the previous night involved public urination, and others led to charges.
