AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Police say a body discovered in a Pontiac Grand Prix near Atlanta is that of a missing Auburn, Alabama man. Authorities say 25-year-old Tyshunn Raheem McCray has been missing since May 1. His body was found Wednesday in Clayton County, just south of Atlanta.

AUSTELL, Ga. (AP) — Police west of Atlanta have opened a homicide investigation after a body was pulled from the Chattahoochee River near Six Flags Over Georgia. Cobb County police yesterday identified the body as 34-year-old Perfecto Ochoa Alvarado, and described his death as a homicide.

EATONTON, Ga. (AP) — Law officers are planning to display the photo of 87-year-old Shirley Dermond, who they fear has been abducted, on digital billboards across Georgia in hopes of generating new leads on her disappearance. Her husband, 88-year-old Russell Dermond, was found beheaded Tuesday at the couple's home in an exclusive gated community on the shores of Lake Oconee.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — General manager Thomas Dimitroff will look to improve the Atlanta Falcons' depth at tight end, running back and linebacker during the third day of the NFL draft. The retirement of 14-time Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez leaves a gaping hole on offense that one player can't fill.
