FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons added depth at running back, linebacker and cornerback in the NFL draft on Saturday. Using a fourth-round pick on Florida State's Devonta Freeman, the Falcons will try to revive the league's worst rushing attack and provide an option behind starter Steven Jackson and primary backup Jacquizz Rodgers.

ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Braves have placed right-hander Jordan Walden on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring and recalled left-hander Ian Thomas from Triple-A Gwinnett. Walden has one save and a 2.92 ERA in 14 games as one of the team's top setup relievers.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) — Bethune-Cookman extended its lead to three strokes in the Division I men's competition and moved into a tie with Chicago State in the women's standings Saturday in the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship. Leon Fricker had an even-par 72 to help Bethune-Cookman reach 19-over 595. Alabama State was second and Savannah State was third — eight strokes back.
