Movies will come and go and so will the tourists. While they both pump money into the local economy, the driver in Bibb County lies in it's industrial parks.
"That will continue to be the major employers in our community," said Pat Toppings, Senior VP of the Macon Economic Development Comission.
An estimated $350 million dollars annually. Therefore, every so often, the commission gathers local board and community members for a tour of local industrial parks.
"This helps educate people on what our industrial parks are and also to get a look at some of the new companies that are here in Macon-Bibb County," said Topping.
Along with companies that have expansion plans, the tour focuses not only on already existing companies, but looks to the future by showing off the the county's potential and an ongoing effort in turning back the hands of time on what's quietly the largest piece of the puzzle.
"We got a great terminal here," said Topping. "We got an airline, Silver Airways, that's flying to Atlanta and to Orlando."
In addition, it supports over 2,000 jobs with an economic impact of over $200 million.
"It showcases this airport and businesses that are on the airport," said Topping. "So, it's a significant player in this whole Middle Georgia Region."
