Investigators Offer Reward for Fatal Accident Information

The Jones County Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for information regarding a fatal hit and run accident on Wheeler Road.
Captain Earl Humphries tells WGXA, the Sheriff's Office is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for hitting and killing 28-year old Marquis Lawson on Wheeler Road in late July.
Investigators say Lawson was walking along the side of Wheeler Road when he was hit by a vehicle on July 24th.  Investigators believe a large utility vehicle, bucket truck or SUV hit Lawson.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.
