Keep on smiling...that's the plan for the benefit concert for Wet Willie founder and bassist Jack Hall, who is battling throat cancer.
Music Matters Entertainment along with The Big House Foundation and Mac Attack are presenting the "Keep On Smilin'" Benefit Concert to help with Hall's medical bills. The concert will be this Friday at 8 p.m. at the Douglass Theatre. The show will feature performances by Wet Willie with Jimmy Hall, The Crosstown Allstars, Bryan Hall, Diane Durrett and many more.
Tickets are $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP seating, which includes a meet and greet poster. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation of $250 or more, make your checks payable to The Big House.
Terry Reeves with Music Matters Entertainment recalls how Jack Hall of Wet Willie has always been there for Macon, and now it's our turn to be there for him.
Hall's cancer prognosis is good and he is expected to make a full recovery. Doors will open at 7 p.m. on Friday night and the show will go until at least midnight. For more ticket information, check out www.douglasstheatre.org.
