In honor of Georgia's Arbor Day this weekend, one community organization invites the public to plant a tree.
Keep Warner Robins Beautiful handed out free tree seedlings Saturday to customers at the Wal-Mart on Booth Road.
This is a project of KWRB's youth advisory board who were available to answer questions about planting and caring.
This effort continues a 140 year tradition that recognizes the importance of trees and to help our cities be greener and healthier places to live.
"It's important to know that they know that these trees are vital and important because this way possibly it can provide a better tomorrow for everyone else today." -- Chris Rogers, Volunteer
The state's Arbor Day is the third Friday in February. National Arbor Day is in April.
