Meet Langston Grice. Just your average run-of-the-mill little boy who enjoys playing with his brothers and sister... pretty typical.
But when Langston's 6th birthday rolled around the way he celebrated was not so typical.
Langston decided that instead of gifts for himself he would ask for donations to a local charity.
"We went through a list of local charities in the area and he chose Habitat for Humanity when I told him about the mission and the vision of that particular charity," says Allegra Grice, Langston's mother.
"It was something that I liked um...I thought it was good," says Langston Grice.
Langston raised $125 which will go to help build someone a home.
"He just wanted to make sure he could still have a cake. That was the only thing he was concerned about. To get to have a cake and have everyone sing him Happy Birthday. He's just a really special little boy. He has a great heart and he loves helping people so it definitely was right up his alley and," says Allegra Grice.
It's not clear at the moment whether this will become a birthday tradition.
"Hmmmmm, I don't know," says Langston.
