Today, the Macon-Bibb County Health Department hosted it's one and only drvie through flu shot event.

Flu season is set to kick off as early as October first and could continue until late May. The vaccine was offered for residents as young as 6 months old.
Health officials explain who needs a flu shot the most.

"We want the ones that are at high risk: our senior citizens, our pregnant women, and those with health problems. We want those individuals to come out and get thier flu shot as well as children." -- Beverly Ming, Macon-Bibb Health Department RN

If you missed today's event, you can still get a flu shot at the health department on Emery Highway Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary.
Shots will be available until vaccines run out.
