Macon Man Pleads Not Guilty

Arraignments today for a Macon teen on his involvement in a shooting last year that lead to the death of a 16-year-old girl.

Dontavius Mintz pleaded not guilty to shooting and killing Southwest High School student Alyssa Jackson. She died in a drive by shooting on Mosely Avenue last November. Mintz is also accused of being associated with the Bloomfield Criminal Street gang and is facing charges including malice and felony murder, along with street gang terrorism.

His lawyer, Larry Fouche, says the trial is expected to happen in early July, possibly the 7th or the 14th.
