MACON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say an 80-year-old Macon woman has died from burns suffered when her home caught fire over the weekend.

The dead woman's 83-year-old husband, Henry Jones, is in critical condition after flames swept through the Bristol Drive home early Sunday.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Virginia Jones died late Sunday after being taken to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta.

Jones says there's no obvious sign of what caused the blaze. Local fire officials are investigating.
