Two people are charged in a hit and run crash.
Bibb County Deputies said it happened July 31st when a Nissan hatchback struck Maliek Montgomery at Grand and Brookdale Avenues while he was out jogging.
The sheriff's office report shows Montgomery's father tracked down Zachary Guyton.
Guyton reportedly confessed to a family friend that he and Jasmine McGregor, the driver, hit Montgomery by accident and left the scene because they were scared.
When Guyton was questioned by sheriffs investigators, he denied any involvement in the crash.
When McGregor was questioned, she said Guyton wasn't in the car and she hit Montgomery because she fell asleep at the wheel and left the scene because she didn't know what to do.
Guyton is charged with obstruction of law enforcement, parole violation, and hit and run.
McGregor charged with hit and run resulting in serious injury.
Montgomery has a broken jaw. Doctors had to wire his mouth shut.
