A gunman hiding inside Aaron's Sales and Lease store robbed employees Wednesday morning as they arrived for work.

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is the armed robbery incident at the store, located at 4696 Log Cabin Drive.

Police say a man broke a hole through a sidewall of the business and entered the store sometime overnight.

When store employees entered the business around 9 a.m., the man jumped out from where he was hiding, pointed a black handgun, and demanded money, cell phones and car keys.

The man then went back through the hole in the wall after firing a shot into the ceiling. The man then drove away in one of the employee's cars, heading north on Log Cabin.

The stolen vehicle is a green 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. The vehicle has a Georgia “Retired Veteran’s” tag XF151G and a blue “Air Force” tag on the front of the vehicle, with the Air Force wings symbol. The vehicle also had several stickers displayed on the rear window.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 5-foot-8, and approximately 150 lbs. He was wearing all black clothing and had a black hooded shirt and black face covering.

Anyone with any information in reference to this incident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to leave a message for the “on-call” investigator or call Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
