The Bibb County Sheriff's Office arrested 49-year old Keith Andrew Hopper and 29-year-old Clyde Douglas Dupree, Jr. in relation to a meth lab at the Bridgeview Inn and Suites located on Harrison Road Sunday night.
The hotel was evacuated temporarily as deputies and investigators cleaned the room.
The owner of the hotel did not want to talk on camera but says he regularly checks rooms himself and never saw signs of drugs inside Hopper's room.
Lieutenant Mike Kinery says Macon's drug problem is getting worse.
So far this year, their special investigations unit made 103 arrests related to drugs.
"Macon does have a serious drug issue, a lot of cities our size have drug issues," Kinery said.
In the past week deputies made five drug arrests, Kinery says 30 percent of the drug usage that's investigated contains methamphetamine.
Hopper is currently in custody while the sheriff's office continues their investigation.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office or call the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
