Getting pulled over can ruin your holiday weekend but with more traffic on the roads, speed and safety enforcement becomes even more important. "On holiday weekend patrols typically we're out trying to make sure people are obeying traffic laws speeding and seatbelts in particular because those are the two biggest killers of motorists."- Lt. Brad Wolfe/Bibb Sheriff's Office And in addition to beefing up patrols for Memorial Day Law Enforcement Agencies across the state are also taking part on Operation Click it or Ticket and the 100 days of Summer Heat. Then of course there's the Super Speeder Law that's been in effect since 2010 which applies to anyone speeding over 75 two lane roads or over 85 on any road...this vehicle was clocked at 85mph in a 65 on I-16 the Super Speeder law will tack on an additional $200 fee over whatever the ticket fee is...its a costly lesson and one you won't have to learn if you follow this advice. "Just be safe on the roads, remember to obey the speed limits, wear your seatbelt, be conscious of the other motorists, you can control what you do but you can't always control them just be aware of your surroundings." Lt. Brad Wolfe/Bibb Sheriff's Office
