Students and community members are learning more about the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
A handful of people were at Mercer Unvierstiy Tuesday night for a lecture and symposium on the former South Afircan president and civil rights leader.
History professor and South African expert Aran Mackinnon opened with a brief biography on Mandela's life.
Students from Mercer's African Students Associaiton then followed with a panel discussion.

The syposiums are held about twice a year. They are open to the public and usually focus on a variety of issues.
