Middle Georgia State College could be well on their way to becoming a state college, this according to the schools Interim President Doctor John Black.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on colleges reviews and grants accreditation for the states colleges and universities.
Although results are not offical, Black says the first review by the SACS was positive.
The SACS was called in to review the school after merging with Macon State College.
SACS accreditation is required by the University of Georgia System.
