Monroe Co. Traffic Stop Nets Nearly 100 Pounds of Weed

A routine traffic stop by Monroe County Deputies led to the recovery of nearly 100 pounds of marijuana.

Anthony Sean Howard of Jacksonville, Florida was driving a silver Mitsubishi Montero on I-75 southbound when he was pulled around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday for a window tint violation.

Howard was driving on a suspended or revoked license and was placed under arrest. Once deputies on scene searched the vehicle, they found two large black trash bags filled with multiple bricks of marijuana.

Howard has been charged with Improper Lane Change, Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License and felony Trafficking Marijuana.
