UNITED NATIONS (AP) — More people than ever are living abroad and the United States remains the most popular destination. That's one of the key findings in new data released by the United Nations Population Division on Wednesday. According to the new statistics, 232 million people, or 3.2 percent of the world's population, were living outside their homeland in 2013 compared with 175 million in 2000 and 154 million in 1990. The U.N. report released Wednesday said Europe and Asia combined host nearly two-thirds of all international migrants worldwide — with 72 million living in Europe and 71 million in Asia in 2013. But international migration remains highly concentrated, with half of all international migrants living in 10 countries this year. The United States hosts the largest number, 45.8 million, the report said.
