MPD Investigate North Macon Shooting

The Macon Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting in north Macon.
Police officers responded to a home on Sugarloaf Circle in regards to a gunshot wound just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. 
Major Charles Stone tells WGXA, a man wearing a blue shirt with long braids, went up to the home and began turning the door knob.  Stone says when the homeowner opened the door, the gunman shot him in the leg.
The victim was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment.
