The newest school in Perry is officially open to parents and students.
The school is having its' first orientation on Tuesday.
Students and their families are welcome to come meet staff and get a tour of the building.
Langston Elementary has 44 up to date classrooms with the latest technology and safety features says principal of the school, Dr. Elgin Mayfield.
"This is an ultra modern facility with modern technology, safety, setups and equipment, it's everything you would expect for a 21st century school, Mayfield said.
More than 500 students and 70 staff members will be present at the start of the school year.
47 teachers are being trained for their new classrooms and will meet and greet parents as they enter.
The new school is a part of a rezoning process to make commuting more convenient and ease traffic at drop off and pick up times.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 1st.
