Maybe the best explanation of how much deeper Miami is this year compared to 2012 comes from looking at the sack numbers.
A year ago through four games, the Hurricanes had five sacks, as a team.
This season, through four games, the No. 14 team in the nation has 11 different players with a sack.
That's one of many statistical examples how the Hurricanes have looked big-time better this year. Miami (4-0, 0-0) gets into Atlantic Coast Conference play this Saturday against Georgia Tech (3-1, 2-1 ACC), looking for its fifth straight win in the series.
So far, the Hurricanes have had 17 players record a tackle for loss, 14 players catch a pass, 10 score touchdowns and six record an interception.
