ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Notah Begay will be off the air for Golf Channel and NBC Sports as he recovers from a heart attack.
Golf Channel says the 41-year-old Begay suffered the heart attack on Thursday. He was taken to a hospital in Dallas and had a stent inserted to undiv Begay's right coronary artery. Begay, a Native American from New Mexico, has a family history of heart disease.
Begay is expected to recover fully.
He says he feels lucky to be at home resting with his family and will return to his work as an analyst when he is fully recovered.
Begay is a four-time winner on the PGA Tour.
