A Macon woman is dead after a two car crash in South Bibb County Tuesday night.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones has identified the victim as 40-year-old Melissa Godfrey. Jones says Godfrey's 1993 Honda Accord was hit by a 2010 Chevy Silverado on the 5500 block of Houston Road around 6:40 p.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the Silverado, 40-year-old Randall Ogletree of Gray, was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia with non-life threatening injuries. Ogletree's wife and two children were also in the pickup and taken to the hospital by family members.

Bibb County deputies say Godfrey was attempting to make a left turn into the Sky view Mobile Home Park, located at 5411 Houston Road. It was reported that as she attempted to make the turn, she pulled in front of the Silverado. Both vehicles collided at the entrance to the mobile home park.

"I was right behind the car and when she tried to turn in the street, that truck just hit her out of nowhere, I couldn't tell if a I saw the car, if I saw the truck coming or not, I didn't even know, some people are saying that the lights were off, but I couldn't really tell," said witness Juan Delgado.
