Macon Police arrested two people Thursday in connection with the Aug. 11 attempted armed robbery of a Shell gas station on Forsyth Road in Macon.

Demetrice Centrell Curry, 20, was arrested on the charge of criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.

Jaquan Dionte Brown, 18, described by police as Curry's boyfriend, was also arrested on the charge of criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.

Both Curry and Brown were taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Police said the incident occurred about 5 a.m., when the convenience store was open but the door was locked. Police say Curry was allowed to enter the store under the pretense of making a purchase while Brown crouched outside the store door.

As Curry exited the store, Brown entered and attempted the robbery, police said.
